  Peter A. Caprise, Jr., M.D.

 

 

Dr. Caprise earned his medical degree from the University of North Carolina School of Medicine following completion of his undergraduate degree at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He served his Residency with the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of North Carolina Hospital. While serving as a Lieutenant Commander in the United States Naval Reserve, Dr. Caprise was a member of the Orthopaedic Surgery staff at the United States Naval Hospital in Okinawa, Japan, where he served as Department Head during his last year there. He then joined the Total Joint and Sports Medicine Service of the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at the United States Naval Medical Center in Portsmouth, Virginia.

Dr. Caprise is board certified by the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. During his tenure in the US Naval Reserve, Dr. Caprise earned two Achievement Medals and one Commendation Medal. He is published on a wide range of orthopaedic issues.
