Dr. Eschenroeder earned his undergraduate degree at the University of Virginia and his medical degree at the University of Missouri-Columbia. He served his internship in general surgery and his residency at the University of Virginia and completed a fellowship in joint replacement surgery at Johns Hopkins in Baltimore, Maryland. He began orthopaedic practice in Lynchburg in 1987. Dr. Eschenroeder is board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery.
Dr. Eschenroeder has served as the president of the Virginia Orthopaedic Society, the president of Lynchburg Medical Staff, as a board member for the Lynchburg Academy of Medicine, the Piedmont Community Health Plan and as a board member for Centra Health. He has also served as a counselor for the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons from Virginia.
Dr. Eschenroeder practices general orthopaedic surgery with a special interest in joint replacements.
