Dr. Joyce Huerta, a physiatrist with special interests
in low back pain and electrodiagnostics, joined the
practice in 2005. With the addition of Dr. Huerta’s
expertise, Central Virginia Orthopaedics will be providing
interventional spine injections, electromyography and
nerve conduction studies, and treatment of both musculoskeletal
and neuropathic pain.
Dr. Huerta completed both her Physical Medicine &
Rehabilitation Residency and Pain Management Fellowship
at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. She completed
her medical school training at University of Colorado.
As a Colorado native, she enjoys outdoor activities
and is eager to be near mountains again. In her free
time, she looks forward to traveling and exploring Virginia’s
beautiful countryside.
