As a fellowship trained hand surgeon, I specialize
in the treatment of the upper extremity including the
hand, shoulder and elbow. In addition to this specialty
I continue to enjoy a general orthopaedic practice.
After earning my Doctor of Medicine Degree in 1994
at The State University of New York - Downstate Medical
Center, I completed an internship in general surgery
and an Orthopaedic surgery residency at The State University
of New York - Upstate Medical Center. I then completed
my fellowship training in hand and microsurgery at the
University of Florida and joined Central Virginia Orthopedics
in 2000.
I am board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic
Surgery, a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic
Surgeons, the Medical Society of Virginia. I am also
one of the team physicians for the Lynchburg Hillcats
and I participate in the training of Lynchburg Family
Practice residents.
