Dr. Wombwell graduated from college and medical school
at the University of Kentucky.
He completed a general surgery internship at Parkland
Hospital in Dallas Texas. He
completed his orthopedic residency at Duke University
in l988 and joined Blue Ridge Orthopedics. He has been
active in the coverage of team sporting events.
Dr. Wombwell is certified by The American Board of
Orthopaedic Surgery and has a special interest in shoulder
and knee surgery.
