We are proud to report that OCCV had 3 teams participate in the Lynchburg Relay for Life May 29th! With the combined efforts of our staff and the support of family and friends, we raised over $5000!! The theme this year was “Cruisin’ for a Cure,” so we had our tents decorated as ports of call, specifically Alaska, Bahamas, and Hawaii. While it was an extremely long night, we had a blast with the Banana Relay, Forever Purple Dance Off, and the Frozen T-shirt Relay. We won “Most Enthusiastic Team” and had 2 winners in the dance off.
The Relay was an overwhelming success, bringing together people from all walks of life in pursuit of a common goal: the day when cancer no longer affects those we love. We look foward to an even bigger event next year! Thanks again to all who came out to show their support and to those who donated with such kind generosity!
