The Rheumatology Center, under the direction of staff rheumatologist Dr. Eric Kenny, provides non-surgical treatment for musculoskeletal diseases including rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, osteoporosis, gout, polymyalgia rheumatica, and other diseases causing inflammation or affecting the autoimmune system. He works with his patients in diagnosis, determination of severity of their disease and establishing appropriate disease management, including medical interventions, when appropriate.

Under the umbrella of The Orthopaedic Center, patients benefit from a crossover of care available through the spectrum of specialists available. Often, Dr. Kenny’s patients can benefit from electrodiagnostic testing and studies by staff physiatrist Joyce Huerta.

Because of the effects of long term steroid use on osteoporotic diseases, Dr. Kenny is able to work closely together with The Osteoporosis Center to screen at-risk patients, provide accurate diagnosis and determine appropriate management. By providing earlier, better and comprehensive treatments, the patients experience quicker resolution of their conditions.
